No worries, I have another amp for hot summer days - Cubie 2 is just perfect for that: https://qwertyl1.wixsite.com/diyaudio/cubie-2
I wanted to cook it for a while before I connect it to my speakers. Will try also to take rough measures of THD and FFT.
Will report back soon

Out of curiosity, those who either own a genuine Pass Labs XA 25, or have seen one powered up in the wild, how hot does
the factory version run? Same heat, or do they have superior heat sinking and run somewhat cooler?
(talking about the mosfet version of diy, obviously!)

revert your XA252 SIT to plain XA252, and you'll have more powa
make another one, bridge them
Are you nuts?
That Macho SIT amp has been sweat and tears for the last three months. We ain't changing nuthin' on that amp.
Might look into a 252 SET or maybe a plain 252... yeah... but I'm reaching the point of too many amps. And I want to retire ( I just got offered another job, dang it... ). I suppose getting another job will free up more money for, ahem..., more amps.
I have three pairs of Tokin SITs. One pair is for back up maintenance of the current amps and the other four are earmarked for the Biggus Dickus Baddae Bingus. ;-)
Maybe name it the Biggus Dickus SIT amp which will be driven most naturally by the Nola Continentia preamp.
I can imagine, showing off my amp racks...
"These here are Aleph 2 clones, this is a clone F5 and there a clone F4.. and over here we got the Sissy SIT, they're all driven by the tube preamp. BUT.. but, here, the best... the Biggus Dickus SIT with its partner the Nola Continentia preamplifier driving it. What? Who? Yeah, some lunatic guy on the Adriatic designed them"

Babysitter time
5U/500 would give slightly lower temp, but you'll need Babysitter in Summer anyway
That's pretty hot... mine doesn't get above 55C.. and if I put the babysitter it drops to 50 on the heatsinks. The insides are about 4 degrees cooler.
5U/400.
We did end up putting over ventilated top and bottom plates... the entire plate has cooling slots ( Deluxe aluminum case ).
feel free to ignore ZM's THD+N figures, look only at sole THD
as I wrote several times - my T-Beds are deliberately left with subpar wiring and they're certainly having much worse PSU figures than anyone is going to make it in final
wires - too long and too thin - one can't have both versatility and optimization
which is evident every time when I include left of 1KHz in graph picture - horror

I am not sure if I got this idea from 6 moons review or banter here, but was thinking XA 25 has slightly higher
rails. If so, or even if the same, wouldnt it be the same or more voltage with the same devices, so ought to be as
hot, unless larger sinking.
Large gauge wire on way for bridges to PS boards, PS boards to amp boards and extend Transformer wires. Then power supply can be tested finally.
