Well, I got one. Now I gotta get my hands on those thermistors.
I tell ya... working gets in the way, I was busy the last three hours getting stuff checked into Git. I almost lost my "head" but I was able to salvage it.
Just like the first time they went on sale.. I was at the customer and by the time I had time, there were all gone.
Oh, I got my own domain name... my last name and I pay for it all to be hosted ( less maintenance headaches that keeping it at home ). So, it's not like gmail or something "free" like that, I actually control my email ( filters, spam, accounts, etc... ). Laugh all you want but I do know that stuff.

Word of advice, make SURE those thermistors are touching the heat sink well and tight.

The thermisters for the F5m PSU don't need to touch anything and probably shouldn't other than the thru hole where they are soldered.
I think @tonyEE is referring to small thermisters on the F5 that I believe are used to protect the MOSFETs from overheating by touching them and "monitoring temp". Two different uses of thermisters and two very different thermisters as well.
Here's the thermisters I think Tony referred to from F5.
Here's the thermisters that the F5m (original release essentials kit) uses on the PSU per Nelson's nifty design.
Someone can please correct me here if I'm off base on that.
[EDIT: I will also say, please take a moment to determine if you want to use the 10ohm thermisters the completion kit uses, or if you want to go with higher bias than 1A. Please consider the recommendation from Papa to use 5ohm thermisters for higher bias per F5M document in post 1. I started out with the 10ohm that came with the kit, then realized (was informed) I needed to replace all of them with 5ohm as I'm using a 4U chassis and targeting closer to 1.4A bias.]

Just to reiterate what's listed on the store's page for the benefit of those living in the U.S.A. who bought the remaining 28 original completion kits, email your name and address to the store help desk and you will receive 2 additional thermistors that match what is included in the kit. They should arrive and ship in a couple of weeks.
I think there's always a chance to let out the magic smoke. Edit: If you're not sure about something, ask away! (that's what I do)
I think letting the smoke out is significantly reduced with the F5m design, a solid build guide, and a diligent/patient/detail-oriented builder [Edit: AND great diyaudio community support on threads like this!
